Development Strategy

The National Research Center for Radiation Medicine, Hematology and Oncology (NRCRMHO) is Ukraine's leading scientific and medical institution dedicated to studying the effects of ionizing radiation on human health and addressing the consequences of radiation accidents. The Center provides comprehensive diagnostics, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation for affected individuals while conducting advanced research in radiation medicine, oncology, and hematology. Particular attention is devoted to the long-term medical follow-up and healthcare of individuals affected by the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant accident.
The Center's specialists conduct epidemiological studies, assess radiation-related health risks to the population, and develop modern approaches to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases associated with radiation exposure.
The Center also plays a key role in strengthening the country's preparedness and response capacity for radiological and nuclear emergencies.
By integrating scientific research with clinical practice, the institution facilitates the implementation of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic technologies into Ukraine's healthcare system.
NRCRMHO actively collaborates with international organizations and leading scientific institutions and contributes to the development of national policies in the fields of radiation safety, public health, and emergency preparedness.
